There are many ways to create star-like objects and they are widely published. For a latecomer like myself who jumped into this field only a few years ago, it is a daunting task to explore this well trodden origami field in order to search for something that slipped through the fingers of our forerunners. This is the story of my personal experience as a humble gleaner (definition: someone who picks up grain left in the field by harvesters) who has some limited success in such efforts. I will cover: (1) How to use CAD effectively in the search efforts; (2) Examples of "what-if" scenarios and their outcomes; (3) Discussions about general CAD usage.
