Many origami instructions begin with folding a particular base. We will practice the square base as we make a spinner out of two pieces and then a traditional box. The square base leads into the bird base used for the traditional crane and flapping bird. If time permits, we’ll learn the bird base and a bird, too! Since there are multiple models in this class, it is not listed as a modular but the spinner is actually a simple modular model.
The spinner is in Origami by David Mitchell and the box is in Origami by Hideaki Sakata.
