This bucky ball is a modular model made from 60 equilateral triangle pieces. It can be displayed by itself or encase a light bulb for an interesting lamp.

Advisories
  • Uses cuts.
  • Uses glue.
  • This uses non-square paper: Equilateral triangles
  • This is a modular/composite requiring 6 sheets.
  • Bring sixty (60) equilateral triangles made from scrapbook weight paper. Otherwise, the class will begin by learning how to make the equilateral triangles for the model before folding and assembly. While the model can stay together without adhesives, a dab of glue helps in keeping the model together & more sturdy. Tools recommended: heavier than kami (e.g., scrapbook-weight) paper, scissors, glue, a box to carry all the modules and the assembled model.
