I'm curious how (or whether) the Denver Lawson spiral pyramid relates to the mathematical constant 'phi' and the golden ratio. It looks a lot like a pinecone, and I've heard that fibonacci number multiples of 1/phi (one-over-phi) are sequential (and possibly best, by some metric) approximations of 0 (or n*2pi) mod 2pi. See Susan Goldstine's page on numbered pinecones for further information.

Fibonacci Spiral?
