The Christmas Wreath, front and back. Designed and folded by Lidia Siqueira. See PDF diagrams.

I could say that I was moved by the Christmas spirit that overcomes us in the last months of the year, but that was not exactly what happened. I usually do not think about the final shape of a piece when I am creating. My process is very intuitive. I choose the beginning, in this case, the preliminary base. And then, I let myself be guided by intuition. When I see that I have a module that meets the basic principle of modulars (flap and pocket for fitting), I make the others and only then do I think about what to call it. When I finished assembling this piece, the first thing that crossed my mind was that it would make a great wreath. Everyone who folded it really liked it.

The wreath was designed to use double-sided paper, but it also looks really nice folded with paper of the same color on both sides.

A strikingly colored example of the wreath with a kirigami bow.
