To celebrate the Year of the Dog, I created the following New Year's card of a dreaming dog with a small child flying kite on his back.
2018 Year of the Dog New Year's card
My memories are that we had a dog a long time ago in Hue, Vietnam and lost him after the war (1975). Recently I asked my mom about our animals, and she said the dog I remembered was not ours but our neighbor's. Now we do not have either cat or dog, but my creations are from my memories of them. This dreaming dog shares the same base with the dreaming cat. We had a few cats but had to leave them when we came to the U.S.
