The Weimar Bowl would also make an attractive tea light holder. See PDF diagrams.

I had the initial idea for this model while passing time at an airport in Germany, in 2018, after visiting Joan Sallas in Weimar. The design is somewhat unusual for me, since fifths make it tricky for many. I’ve included a method of locating fifths and suggest that people create a template from it to fold “clean” fifths on the actual model. It’s also quite demanding of good precreasing and may take some effort to complete. Not my normal style! I like the way the bowl opens out but is held in tension.

Any crisp paper will be fine. The underside of the paper is visible on the sides and bottom of the bowl. The design has not been published previously.
